After the Quake

What a week it was.
This is definitely an understatement for me- An unexpected thing happened last Sunday morning at 7:07 am.
Didn't see this coming at all.
Just when I think that maybe I have a handle on my life, YEP that's me. Things are going along as usual and WHAM. Here is a little something to ponder about.
Is this a test or is this a trial? The most remarkable thing about it was that I was at peace during the whole episode. And I am absolutely terrified of earthquakes believe me.
After we talked to our son and found out the strength and the epicenter we went to church. Very little clean up. We lost some vases given to me as a present from our other son and one small Thomas knocked mini plate broke when it fell off of its holder. Other than that the cleanup was pretty easy. The geckos sure stayed away for a couple of days which was a good thing.
We kept having aftershocks so the day was unstable. But still I am at peace. I talk to coworkers and family and friends and I still am at peace. God is Good and Marvelous.
In fact life is so back to normal that the Ironman is going on as I type. People from all over the world, who have been training for the last year are concentrating on following through with the task at hand, completing the Ironman.
For all of you who kept me in their thoughts and prayers when they heard about the earthquake thank you. Especially my dears sisters-in-Christ and my Craft Happy Crew.
I'm posting a couple pictures of DH's home office/den for you to see just how we faired.

Only a couple of broken vases and a plate? OMG - that is sooo wonderful. Glad to hear that you all faired very well through the storm!
I've never actually been in a very big earthquake. A few shakes and shimmers. But never a big one. I can only imagine the crazy things that would go through a persons head.
Thanks for sharing with us!
